How Can I Visit?

At Rockford MakerSpace, we welcome guests and visitors. You can stop by, use tools you've been trained on, browse the "junkyard" (or "hack rack") for materials to build projects from, and generally hang out - as long as a member is present and is willing to be a host. No really - make stuff for free at Rockford MakerSpace!

When Are Members Around?

Open shop times and meetups can be found on our calendar and/or our Meetup page. Our Events page lists classes and special events. Of course, Becoming a Member grants you a key and 24/7 access!

Where exactly are you located?

Well, we're a little hard to find. (Sorry about that!) We are located in a turn-of-the-20th-century warehouse building in downtown Rockford.

The official address is 203 N. Church, Rockford, Illinois 61101-1003, but oddly, we’re not actually on Church Street! Our facility is accessed via the alley between Jefferson & Mulberry, and N Church & N Main Streets. Parking is available along Mulberry Street, or the two public lots to the east. You can get directions online, but remember that our entrance is in the alley.

When you arrive, ring the doorbell. If nobody answers, sorry we missed you! Remember that we are run entirely by volunteers, and we can’t be there 24/7. But if you become a member, you’ll have 24/7 access!
